Is there a difference between roller blades for males and females?

I%26#039;m trying to buy roller blades to exercise, but I want to know if there is a difference between girls and guys roller blades. I have always thought that roller blades were roller blades, however, my friend keeps telling me that there is a difference. If anyone knows please post your comments. Thank you for your time

Is there a difference between roller blades for males and females?
Paul is almost correct.

Some skate models are made in both men%26#039;s and women%26#039;s versions. They started showing up a few years ago and are getting more popular. Other models are only made in one type fits all and usually marked with men%26#039;s shoe sizes.

When there is a specific women%26#039;s version:

The shape of the foot is different. Almost every skate has a different foot shape but when the maker does a %26quot;women%26#039;s%26quot; design they do specific things like make the heel pocket narrower.

The actual height of the boot is the same but it is cut lower in the back because the calf of the leg extends lower on women.

The total height of the boot gets lower as the skate is intended for more speed. Fitness skates are shorter than recreational. Racing skates are shorter than fitness.

They frequently have different colors but not always what people would think of as %26quot;feminine%26quot;. Some are outrageously feminine.

If the thought of wearing a %26quot;women%26#039;s%26quot; skate doesn%26#039;t bother you and the color is acceptable to you, try the %26quot;women%26#039;s%26quot; skates on. You may find that the foot shape fits you better than the %26quot;men%26#039;s%26quot; model
Reply:Girls skates are more narrow, the boots don%26#039;t go as high, because girls legs usually get wider lower on the shin.

and they are prettier skates.
Reply:There is no difference, as far as I am aware (but I%26#039;m not a rollerblader...). If it fits, wear it; if it works (and is safe), use it.

If you think you have to wear/use only what is %26quot;designed%26quot; for your gender, your options are more limited than they have to be. And I pity you.
Reply:From the name im guessing your a guy like me.

Like the guy next to me yes there are those differences, but im not gonna hang with you in ur pink barbie skates.(this goes if ur a girl too) =)

stick with things made for your gender in general.
